8P2 cardboard wrestling

Using cardboard, IPad, hot glue, and duck tape, I created a wrestling mat and 2 wrestlers because I wanted to make a fun and interactive game. This game is 2 people  only and you can have fun and plan the matches. Each match can be fun and different or the same as the last one you did.

During this process, I learned how to make joints on cardboard people. I did this by hole punching hole where I wanted the joints and added yarn through the hole. After that the people could move in certain places and not others.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I am making a project and sharing it with the world. This video i made is getting put on this website and shared with the world.

A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to add the joints to the people. I was able to do it by seeing where my joints were and then by adding  the yarn through the joints. After that i knew how to add joint on the avatars.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the avatars. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't like the way they bended and had unrealistic movement. So if i had another chance to fix a few things I would.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. It ties into this because I designed people and made them move and I haven't done that before.

My project connects to careers in engineering and design because they have to engineer how the model will work adn i did that. I did that when I made my avatar move and bend. So my project does tie into engineer and design.
