Meet Willa

After the great season of '23 with X, we had our ups and downs but our team was excited to work with a plethora of new faces for our next bot.

"Unfortunately we ran into a similar issue with X as we chose a design or idea and sunk our teeth in it and closed off to other alternatives to intake and shooter." This is one issue that we tend to run into quite often.

The design of Willa on paper seemed fantastic, however, we ran into stability issues with the chain and arm, especially with the arm being outside it took quite a few heavy hitters. Most could've been avoided if we did under the bot intake.

The reason our team named our bot Willa was because:

Our alumni and one of our founding members -  Jessie "Willa" Harrington - August 10th, 2024, was taken away from us, she had left us with knowledge of the students she mentored and taught, and our bumpers that she had put together, and while the lost falls heavy on our shoulders dedicate this year to help spread the light and joy she gave us to the whole world.
