24' Build Season Progress

Kick-Off!

Our team hosted Kick-Offs in the media center with food and drinks and watched them reveal what will be doing for the game this year. For members who could not attend, they were still able to see the game being revealed on Twitch online.

CADing & Prototyping!

Our team has gone down the path of CADing first then prototyping! Persistence, Consistency, and efficiency are what drive our Mechanical and CAD team to arrive and spend hours in the shop!

The third time is the charm of improving habits and improving skills!

Scouting!

The Scout Team has decided to go digital this year! No more paper being wasted! Getting ahead of the game is key, especially with time ticking for the competition date.

With that, The Scout Team is planning on using Excel and a QR Scout website. It works offline, makes data easy to enter, and any person can understand the website! We credit the creators of the Website, Team 2713 Red Hawks Robotics for making this Website!

Double The Efficiency!

Split the whole team into two groups and each group will work on a climber, following the instruction and using common sense and logic to make no mistakes.

Though, it was a hassle in trying NOT to, but the idea still counts as we continued on and completed the climbers at the same time and are equal together!

✨The Coders✨

Our coders are bonding so well with our programming mentor.  They all work so hard and we are proud of them!!

Human Player Practice

The team has gotten to a slowdown period as we wait for parts, so what do we do? ✨WE PRACTICE!✨

Building the microphone and the stand was easy, but throwing a note from 11 feet away with obstacles and different angles proved to be easier said than done.

Conditioning yourself to throw from different angles will help or if you already have talent in throwing things from far away than that too is useful!

We LOVE Marked Metal

Patience is hard when you are itching to be in the shop, so a few members went into the shop and with the CAD drawings by our CAD Team, they marked metal.

You learn a lot about measurements down to the sixteenth or thousandth with a caliper and a sharpie. Just ask those members!

Dreading Treads

When replacing the treads on our robot's wheels, a synchronized "NOPE!" or a sacrifice is made. Everyone on the team has at least experienced it once and can agree that treading the wheels is a difficult task that takes a long time.

And what's the best time to do it? During a slow-down period!

Getting Serious

Our parts came in and it's time to build the robot with metal! Our plan? No Swiss cheese or spaghetti, we make great cuts and accurate holes. We triple-check everyone's work and get the bot assembled in a timely manner.

The CAD Pages are a great instruction to draw lines, measure holes, and line up everything to how it should be.

Stay Focused!

The mechanical team is working hard to get our bot built in a timely manner!

Electrical team got our electrical base down and just waiting on the drive base to be done!
