We've had a fantastic Spirit Week, with an impressive level of student participation! At our school, we are committed to creating a positive culture where students are excited to come each day and are supported in achieving high levels of learning.
Thank you for partnering with us to make our school a great place for students to grow and succeed!
A quick reminder: If your student has lost their school ID, a replacement can be purchased in the Learning Commons for $5.00.
Please also continue to reinforce the importance of staying off personal electronic devices during the school day. Limiting distractions helps create a focused and effective learning environment for everyone.
Have a Great Weekend!

Every child has a dream, a vision for what their future can be. Our mission is to provide students with opportunities to make those dreams a reality for middle school students; an immersive simulation that enables them to develop skills to successfully navigate today’s complex economic environment and discover how decisions today can impact tomorrow.

Why do we need coaches? Adults bring the program to life for the students by sharing real life experiences. Our volunteers provide those "aha" moments as they help students discover the value of themselves, their education, and their future possibilities! If you have held a job or paid a bill, you will be a valuable volunteer. Check out our Volunteer Video to see a preview of the day.
*Parking, Coffee, Day-of Training, and Lunch provided to all volunteers!
Questions about the day? Contact Carla Marquez at cmarquez@georgia.ja.org
These will be available AFTER the picture make-up day in October.
If you have not picked this up, please do this as soon as possible. You can contact the NHMS Front Office.
On the last week of each month, there will be a rolling cart in the lobby for students to pick up any lost items. Any items left at the end of the week will be donated.
Becker consistently goes above and beyond to help her students by tutoring (almost every morning) and making tutorial videos. She leads the Math content well by sharing resources, leading effective meetings, and giving feedback. Becker is an awesome co-worker because she is dependable, knowledgeable, and upbeat! She creates a classroom environment where everyone feels valued and motivated! She always has meaningful quotes on her door and is trying to inspire her students.
Mr. McKellar currently works in our technology department. He works diligently to fix school chromebooks, and any/all other issues that may arise with technology. Along with that, he works even harder at things like building relationships and supporting adults/kids here at NHMS. Mr. McKellar is always willing to do whatever needs to be done for the school to be successful. Thank you for all you do!
