HAPPY NEW YEAR!
From our NHMS family to yours, we hope you had a wonderful holiday break. As we begin 2026, we are excited to kick off another semester of innovation and creativity at North Hall Middle School.
This spring, students will once again dive into learning through our Spring STEAM Passion Project, where they will explore areas they are truly passionate about. As we continue our transition into a STEAM Exploratory School, student choice and authentic learning remain at the heart of what we do.
Our fall STEAM projects were a huge success, and we cannot wait to see what our students create this spring. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
FEED THE LIGHT!
Below are a few logistical reminders:
*Student IDs are expected to be worn everyday as a part of our safety measures to ensure safety and security of our building. If students forget their ID the must wear a name sticker, repeat offenders will begin to be charged for these stickers starting this semester.
*Multiple communications have been sent our regarding our new cell phone policy:
As we work toward complying with new state legislation that will restrict student access to cell phones (Fall 2026), we want to share important expectations. All electronic devices must be turned off and put away before students enter the building. This includes all cell phones, tablets, Apple Watches, and any other smart devices. Additionally, students will no longer need wireless headsets of any kind moving forward. Wired headsets used with a school issued Chromebook will be the only ones acceptable. From the hours of 7:30-3:35, no student will be permitted to have or use any device other than their school issued Chromebook.
We are beginning communication now to help families prepare for these changes in January, and prepare for next fall.
Looking ahead to the fall of 2026, state legislation will prohibit students from accessing their devices at all during the school day. As we get closer to next fall, we will develop and share a detailed plan to ensure full compliance with this law.
Thank you for your support in helping keep our school a focused and distraction-free environment.
