Trojan Families,
It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving Break is only one week away.
Our school participated in the GSAPS School Review, and we are eagerly anticipating the results. The insights gained from this review will guide us as we continue striving to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.
I would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the PTSO and the entire community for their ongoing support of our faculty and staff. The dedication and generosity demonstrated by our school community are truly exceptional. Thank you for all that you do to help make our school a wonderful place for both students and educators.
Feed the Light!
David Wagner
Principal, NHMS
We are in need of:
toilet paper rolls (just the cardboard part-paper towel rolls will work as well),
feathers
pipe cleaners
clothes pins.
We are going to have a turkey escape STEAM challenge next week and if you could spare supplies we would greatly appreciate it.

Attendance Matters-Everyday Counts!
If your student is interested in auditioning for Annie Jr., scan this QR code to see what they need to sing for each character. Auditions are after school on December 5th!
These will be available AFTER the picture make-up day in October.
If you have not picked this up, please do this as soon as possible. You can contact the NHMS Front Office.
On the last week of each month, there will be a rolling cart in the lobby for students to pick up any lost items. Any items left at the end of the week will be donated.
Don't miss out! Buy your NHMS yearbook now!
We will have our next STEM Activity Club Meeting on Wednesday, November 19. Rebecca Hartfield and the Science Olympiad Team will be joining us for some fun STEM activities!
Jacob Reece is our October teacher of the month. Mr. Reece is new to NHMS this year and has FULLY jumped in to help with all things technology. As a BLAST leader, he drops everything to help everyone and does is quick and effectively. Not only is he helpful with technology, Jacob Reece builds great relationships with his students as well as those he does not teach/support. He helps these kids no matter if they are in his class or not, and holds the kids accountable and makes them have manners. We are so thankful to have Mr. Reece at NHMS!
Amber Etris is our October staff of the month! As the school secretary, she is essential at keeping the office organized and ensure that daily operations run smoothly. Her efficiency and attention to detail helps the entire school function effectively and create a welcoming environment for everyone. When you walk in to the office, her loving demeanor and holiday cheer makes all students feel welcome! Thank you Mrs. Etris for what you do for our school:)
When? In Person – December 11 or 12 | 8:00 am-2:45 pm

Why do we need coaches? Adults bring the program to life for the students by sharing real life experiences. Our volunteers provide those "aha" moments as they help students discover the value of themselves, their education, and their future possibilities! If you have held a job or paid a bill, you will be a valuable volunteer. Check out our Volunteer Video to see a preview of the day.
*Parking, Coffee, Day-of Training, and Lunch provided to all volunteers!
Questions about the day? Contact Carla Marquez at cmarquez@georgia.ja.org
