Sources of Strength Week – Supporting Our Students Together!
October 27th - October 31st, our school will be celebrating Sources of Strength Week, a program focused on building resilience, promoting mental wellness, and encouraging connection among students. Throughout the week, students will participate in fun, meaningful activities centered around key strengths like family support, positive friends, mentors, healthy activities, and more.
As parents and caregivers, you play a vital role in supporting these strengths at home. We encourage you to ask your child about what they're learning, share your own sources of strength, and help us continue these important conversations beyond the classroom.
Together, we can build a stronger, more connected, and caring community!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support throughout the fall season. Whether you cheered from the sidelines, attended performances, volunteered your time, or simply encouraged your student to participate, your involvement made a meaningful difference.
It was wonderful to see so many families come out to support our students across a wide range of extracurricular activities. Their growth, teamwork, and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, and much of that success is thanks to your continued encouragement.
As we look ahead, we're excited to kick off the winter season of activities and events. We know our students will continue to thrive with the same dedication and support you've shown all year long.
Feed the Light!

Principal, NHMS
Rebecca genuinely cares for students and goes the extra mile to help them. She also is a very caring staff member and encourages her colleagues. Rebecca is invested in her students' success. For those students who are new to her caseload, she does her research to see what makes them tick and tries to figure out new ways to reach their goals in the most expedient time. We can see her efforts in the students she serves! She makes the time to have conversations with involved parties and discusses student struggles honestly. She never gives up on a child! Around the building you can see her selling hat stickers, working at events to support the school and her fellow teachers, and scheming with her colleagues to plan trips and positive things for kids to experience.
We are so grateful that Mrs. Puckett is part of the North Hall Middle School family and are thrilled to celebrate her as our 2026 Teacher of the Year!

Dear NHMS Parents and Guardians, in the Hall County School District, each school in the district undergoes an internal review process called the Georgia School Assessment on Performance Standards (GSAPS) Visit every five years. NHMS will have our GSAPS review at the beginning of November. As part of this review process, feedback is gathered from parents of children that attend the school. We hope you will offer your valuable input by responding to the survey questions linked below before October 30, 2025. All responses are anonymous.

Danielle Hall is an eighth grade science teacher at NHMS and our September Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Hall recently transitioned as a 6th grade ELA teacher to her position in Science. According to her peers, “Danielle is an amazing teacher and wonderful asset to our 8th grade team. She is doing a wonderful job in her classroom and has stepped up to help brainstorm and create outstanding content for our STEAM project in an irreplaceable way. We’re all so happy she’s joined our team! She is always willing to work with students as well as teachers to help assist them.” Thank you Mrs. Hall!
Jamie Buffington is our data entry clerk for the school, and is our September staff of the month. According to her peers, “Jamie has worked extremely hard over the first month of school making sure every student was scheduled, whether it be providing a schedule, changing a schedule or enrolling new students. Jamie does so many things for our school in outside of her role as our data entry specialist/registrar. From scheduling to data reports, to FTE, to absences and excuses, she keeps our school in compliance and running smoothly.” Thank you for all you do!
