Remind is going away...
ParentSquare will be replacing Remind starting April 13. See below for more info on ParentSquare and what to expect from this new platform.
Hello Bear Family!
We have almost made it!! For our seniors and senior parents, this is such a special time of celebrations. I hope that all of you can take a moment and soak in the rest of this chapter of your students' lives. The older I get, the more precious these milestones become.
Please be sure to register for Parent Square, if you have not already done so. The transition has been smooth on our end, so please email me if there are any issues you are seeing as a parent. we are all learning together.
I want to also start getting out the message that as we move into next school year, outside devices ( phones, tablets, personal laptops, etc) will not be allowed for use on campus from the start of the school day through the last bell. We would like to continue our expectation that we started a few years ago to help students manage devices, but it will extend throughout the halls and lunches which will be a change. Please begin conversations in your homes about what they may look like for your student. Will they utilize a locker? Will they leave their phone in their car if they drive? Will they be able to manage keeping the phone in their bookbag and be able to resist the temptation to pull it out simply out of habit? We are working with teachers to also consider how that will change some instructional strategies as well. There will be more specific information coming, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up of this change for next school year.
Finally, I want to send a reminder of the exam exemption information is below. This was also sent out in August as well as in recent emails and messages. Again, this is an incentive, not a penalty, and it includes all unexcused AND excused absences.
I hope you get a chance to enjoy all of the end of the year activities, games, and performances. It is a crazy, but fun time of year! Make good choices, and as always Go Bears!
Love,
Mrs. Ramsey

Communication shared publicly in the August Bluff Bulletin on 8/31/2026 and through Parent Square on 4/22/26:
Final exams are the expectations for all high school classes. However, as an incentive to increase our attendance and to continue to achieve academic success, we offer an exemption incentive. As previously communicated in August, the absences for exemptions have been recorded as of September 2nd (absences from August do not count toward exemptions). This is an incentive, not a penalty for those who may not meet all the criteria below.
For a yearlong course, a student who has a yearly average of 90 or above and 5 or less absences may be exempt from the teacher’s final exam. For a semester course, a student who has a final average of 90 or higher and 3 or less absences may be exempt from the teacher’s final exam. Absences include all excused and unexcused absences.
No student can exempt an EOC, End of Pathway, nor an AP exam. Classes not taken at Cherokee Bluff High School (ex: dual enrollment, GaVS, etc.) are not eligible for exemption.
Student absences for Cherokee Bluff High School field trips and Cherokee Bluff High School athletic competitions do not count against the total absences. Exam exemptions will be determined by each class period. Teachers will communicate directly with students in each class to determine if they meet the qualifications outlined above for exam exemption. Seniors will be notified by the teacher if they meet the requirements by May 7th and ninth through twelfth graders will be notified if they meet the qualifications by May 14th.
