GROWing Better Today than Yesterday
GROWing Better Today than Yesterday
Hello Bear Family!
What an awesome time it is to be a BEAR! Everything is in full swing around here, and not surprising, our kids are showing up and showing out!
Congratulations to our volleyball team who made history for their program this week in Cartersville, and walked away from an unbelievable season with the accolades of being State Runner-Up for AAA! Proud to have these ladies, under the direction of Coach Myer, represent us so well.
Currently our Lady Bear softball team is fighting for the title in Columbus...so sending all the good vibes to them and Coach Joiner and his staff.
Our football, XC, and competition cheer are also looking at some big competitive moments as they finish their seasons respectively with hopes of moving to the next level.
The excitement doesn't stop at athletics. Whether it is for the One Act competition for theater, our Fall Band concert, students auditioning for All State Chorus & Band, or upcoming holiday concerts and performances, please make it a point to treat yourselves to the talents of our fine arts students.
Lastly, after some feedback, we are trying to help get information out to everyone in as many different ways as we can. One of the updates we have made (which comes directly from some parental feedback) is that we included our scrolling announcements (which are displayed in the school building and on our website) to this bulletin moving forward.
Happy Fall, Cherokee Bluff, make good choices, and as always Go Bears!
Love,
Mrs. Ramsey
November 6th at 6pm in the theater will be our next parent information session on Dual Enrollment. Current 10th and 11th graders that are interested should plan to attend with a parent or guardian.
The majority of classes at Cherokee Bluff High School are year-long. Ninth through eleventh grade students will begin hearing about registration for the 26-27 school year in the coming months. Our Pre-registration night for parents will be scheduled in January and classes selected the following week.
Term 1 grades were posted to Infinite Campus on October 6th. Please check your Parent Campus account regularly to ensure your child is on track.
If your child is having a tough time, consider these things:
Attendance is one of the key factors in student's academic success. Are they here everyday?
Seeing missing assignments and not sure if they have been turned in? Check in with the teacher to get clarification.
Consider setting up a parent teacher conference. Reach out to your child's counselor and they can arrange a meeting for all of the teachers to be present.
AP Testing dates have been announced. Visit the link below to see when you will test in May and put that date on your calendar!
The calculator policy has been updated for the 2026 Exams. Click the link below for detailed information.
Have questions? Reach out to Dr. Sarah Kent or Mr. Shannon Reed they are here to help!
The PSAT NMSQT and SAT School Day administration went great! If your student added their contact info during the set up, you should receive score reports in 4-6 weeks.

Student IDs & Dress Code
Dress Code is linked HERE (on digital page 11) and is in the Student Agenda as well linked to our webpage.
Please refer to Student McBearson as a visual example of dress code expectations.
IDs are part of our school dress code. All students, staff, subs, and visitors are expected to wear an ID on a lanyard around the neck during the school day. This is for the safety of everyone in our building.
Please consider these guidelines when purchasing Back to School clothes. While our first concern is that students remain in class, students who consistently defy the dress code will have consequences beginning with calling a parent or guardian to bring other clothing to school and ending with possible ISS for not following school rules.
Please consider these guidelines above and the visual to the right when purchasing Back to School clothes. While our first concern is that students remain in class, students who consistently defy the dress code will have consequences beginning with calling a guardian to bring other clothing to school and ending with possible ISS for not following school rules.
All lunchroom balances must be paid off each month. Balances carry over year to year. It is also important to remember that you are unable to walk at graduation without having a $0 balance.
