GROWing Better Today than Yesterday
GROWing Better Today than Yesterday
Hello Bear Family!
Happy Holidays! We made it to the end of the first semester yet again. I am proud of the accomplishments of all of our students, in the classrooms, in the competitive arenas, and in their creative performances. It is an honor to get to work with the best every day!
A few reminders to get things started on the right foot when we return in January - please remind students about dress code. Nothing has changed - students should be fully covered from knuckles to shoulders and everywhere in between while at school. This includes open backs on shirts.
Our students are really doing much better understanding why we need to wear IDs every day. We do need your assistance as parents to remind student that they should be in possession of ONLY their ID. Students wearing or taking someone else's ID will face a penalty.
2026 will offer a fresh for tardies as well as grades. This gives everyone the chance to put our best foot forward as we start anew for the Spring semester.
As far as checks outs, just a reminder that if a student is not a driver, you cannot send an email for them to check out. For safety reasons, adults who are noted in Infinite Campus must show an ID to check out students who are not drivers. Thank you for your help in this.
For parents of seniors, enjoy this holiday season and soak up the upcoming months... the turning of the calendar makes graduation day oh so real as we change to 2026!
I pray you all get to surround yourselves with the people you love and who love you these next two weeks. Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, make good choices, and as always Go Bears!
Love,
Mrs. Ramsey
The majority of classes at Cherokee Bluff High School are year-long. Ninth through eleventh grade students will begin hearing about registration for the 26-27 school year in the coming weeks. Parents and students can join us for Pre-registration night for parents will be January 15th.
Term 1 grades were posted to Infinite Campus on October 6th. Please check your Parent Campus account regularly to ensure your child is on track.
If your child is having a tough time, consider these things:
Attendance is one of the key factors in student's academic success. Are they here everyday?
Seeing missing assignments and not sure if they have been turned in? Check in with the teacher to get clarification.
Consider setting up a parent teacher conference. Reach out to your child's counselor and they can arrange a meeting for all of the teachers to be present.
AP Testing dates have been announced. Visit the link below to see when you will test in May and put that date on your calendar!
The calculator policy has been updated for the 2026 Exams. Click the link below for detailed information.
Have questions? Reach out to Dr. Sarah Kent or Mr. Shannon Reed they are here to help!
The PSAT NMSQT and SAT School Day administration went great! If your student added their contact info during the set up, you should receive score reports in 4-6 weeks.

Student IDs & Dress Code
Dress Code is linked HERE (on digital page 11) and is in the Student Agenda as well linked to our webpage.
Please refer to Student McBearson as a visual example of dress code expectations.
IDs are part of our school dress code. All students, staff, subs, and visitors are expected to wear an ID on a lanyard around the neck during the school day. This is for the safety of everyone in our building.
Please consider these guidelines when purchasing Back to School clothes. While our first concern is that students remain in class, students who consistently defy the dress code will have consequences beginning with calling a parent or guardian to bring other clothing to school and ending with possible ISS for not following school rules.
Please consider these guidelines above and the visual to the right when purchasing Back to School clothes. While our first concern is that students remain in class, students who consistently defy the dress code will have consequences beginning with calling a guardian to bring other clothing to school and ending with possible ISS for not following school rules.
All lunchroom balances must be paid off each month. Balances carry over year to year. It is also important to remember that you are unable to walk at graduation without having a $0 balance. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call. Below is the link to look at your personalized MyPaymentPlus account.
Is your student 16? If so, they MUST have the Meningitis Booster.
