What do you do in this course?
A fun and practical course covering the basic protocols of designing and making simple fashion items. Through creating moodboards, sketching and investigation into fashion trends decisions are made on the construction of garments/items.
What does this course lead to?
Enjoyment of creating textiles items. Improvement of motor skills. Problem solving and the ability to design and make products. This course enhances choices and skills for the future studies of Product Design and Technology, Studio Arts, Stem. Design Engineering Graphic design.

Student's learn how to creatively use sewing conventions to design and adapt patterns to construct individual garments. A variety of surface embellishments are explored and applied to the finished garments. Collaborative design, fabric repurposing and sustainable issues are a feature of this enjoyable elective.
