The 8th graders were tasked this semester with learning to use HTML. Below are websites that they coded with HTML. Each site will include student work that that student has made as the semester continues. The content should grow as the course progresses. The asterisks that you see around certain student's names is to identify that their websites are top notch, having followed all the instructions they were given in class.
This is the final assignment for the Fall 2021/22 8th grade class. It is a 3D program intended be interacted with in VR. The code is text based and was written by the students using HTML and A-Frame.
This program is designed for VR, but it can be accessed on a computer, provided that computer has good memory and graphics. In my experience, gaming PCs can load it fine, but other computers tend to have difficulty.
When you enter the program, you will notice a small black circle in the middle of the screen. That is your cursor. To interact with things in this program, you must hold the cursor over that object for a few seconds. Almost every exhibit has something interactive about it. If you are using a VR headset, the cursor will follow the movement of your head and will remain in the center of the screen. If you are on a computer, you can click and drag the screen with your mouse to move the camera and use your arrow keys to walk.
