Below are arcade games made by our seventh grade students. Each one was created with Javascript based block code on MakeCode Arcade by Microsoft. Names with *asterisks* around them are games that I felt did an exceptional job or were a lot of fun to play.
For this assignment, students make an advanced game that uses tilemaps, animations, logic, functions, and arrays.

This is the student's final project. Their goal is to use everything they have learned to make a game good enough that people outside of our classroom or school would want to play it. The best games will be put on a physical arcade machine at the school.

This was 7th grades first major grade project. They all start by creating similar games, but then are challenged to make it unique. I also challenged them to add cutscenes and special effects.
