Mechatronics

In Mechatronics, students will learn about several subject areas including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Robotics. The combination of these engineering disciplines creates design, development, and control of complex systems used in a range of industries including manufacturing, medicine, aircraft, and all service industries.  Mechatronics is a field that is rapidly changing with the advancements of technology.  Students will be taught how to read blueprints, schematics, use hand tools to assemble parts, calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies, and use machines to make housings and fittings.

Curriculum

Mechatronics is a 2 year program that rising 10th-12th grade students can apply for.  Dual Credit hours are offered in this course.  Upon completion of the course students will have the opportunity to earn certification for NIMS and OSHA-10. 

Year 1- Mechatronics 1 and 2
