Graphic Communications
Graphic Communications is designed to give the students an advanced understanding of typography, desktop publishing, print production, illustration and image editing knowledge. Students will also get hands on experience with screen printing, offset press, and miscellaneous photography skills. This course covers computer skills using the Adobe Suite software dealing with layout design, digital illustration and digital manipulation of images. Students will also learn to use digital cameras, scanners, and Macintosh computers.

Curriculum
Graphic Communications is a two year program consisting of Graphic Communications 1 and 2 during the first year and Graphic Communications 3 and 4 during the 2nd year of the program. The curriclum consists of using graphic software including the Adobe Suite. There is an emphasis placed on design princples, color theory, typography, project design, and taking the project all the way through the commercial printing process. Students will be able to use their creative skills to produce prodcuts related to the Commercial Graphics industry. Students will become certified in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop.
