Architectural and Mechanical Drafting Design
In Architectural and Mechanical Drafting Design, students will become skilled at drafting while being able to produce detailed drawings for fields such as architecture, engineering, and manufacturing. Students will gain experience learning to use sketching techniques, drafting tools, and industry recognized CAD software. Students will have instruction using an architectural based curriclum the first year and a mechanical based curriculum the second year. Project based learning and scale model building will also be utilized to provide opportunities for students to incorporate design techniques as well as apply soft skills.
Curriculum
Architectural and Mechanical Drafting Design is a 2 year program that rising 10th-12th grade students can apply for. Upon completion of this course students will have the opportunity to earn certification in AutoCAD and Inventor. OSHA-10 certification will also be offered.
