One of the oldest public buildings still standing in Kentucky, the courthouse was built in 1802 and was in use for 135 years. It is the oldest courthouse west of the Allegheny Mountains.

The Green River Paddle Trail begins at the spillway below the Green River Lake Dam in Taylor County and extends to the Hart County line. The trail includes parts of the Little Barren River and Russell Creek and offers canoeing, bird and wildlife watching, fishing, hunting, and other recreational activities. The Little Barren and Green River are two of the top 25 recommended streams in Kentucky for smallmouth bass fishing.

The Green River, the fourth most biologically diverse river in the US and the longest and most diverse of Kentucky's rivers, is home to 151 fish species and 71 mussel species, some of which are found nowhere else. Green River Lake is made up of 8,200 acres surrounded by 1,331 acres of land. There are activities for everyone including: miniature golf, swimming, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and boating.
Join us for our annual fall festival focused on celebrating the heritage of our hometown. It is held on the third Friday and Saturday of September. Some of the main attractions include Car and Tractor Shows, Beauty Pageants, Arts and Crafts, Town Parade, a 5k Race, and Free Fun for the Kids!
The Greensburg Disc Golf Course is a 9-hole course, designed for both the beginner and advanced players. H.B. Clark of H.B.Clark Disc Golf Course Designs from Bowling Green, KY was the course architect. The course is primarily nestled in trees, overlooks the Green River and provides breath taking views at every turn. The Greensburg Disc Golf Course is free to the public and can be enjoyed year around. The course and fitness trail is located at 214 Industrial Dr. across from Golden Living/ Green Hill Manor Nursing Facility. Come out, bring your discs and take advantage of our beautiful course!
The Green County Public Library has an extensive genealogy collection, with some information that was donated by individuals and some purchased by the library. There are family documents, photographs and letters that have been passed down through generations. Many public records are on microfilm.
