Jazz Band directors:

The Greenbrier East High School Jazz Band is an opportunity offered to high school students by Mr. Brian Carr and Mr. Birch Graves. The GEHS Jazz Band was newly reformed in the winter of 2019-2020 and has a rich history dating back many years. Members are selected by audition for standard big band instrumentation of alto saxophones, tenor saxophones, bari saxophones, trumpets, trombones, piano, drum set, bass and guitar.

Auditions for the 2021-2022 Jazz Band will take place in November after the conclusion of Marching Band Season.

The GEHS Jazz Band is an excellent opportunity for students wishing to explore the inner-workings of jazz music and jazz performance. Contact Mr. Carr or Mr. Graves for more information.
