This was our U of U open house field trip. We hold a field trip every year as the University of Utah invites us to explore the ROTC program they have available at a higher level. We are taught how to tie a swiss seat, cross a one rope bridge, test your strength on a punching machine, learn to map, and build a connection and interest to continuing the ROTC path the cadets are on currently.

Our C.E.R.T. and first-aid block taught not only how to take care of wounds, fracturs, breaks, injures, and trauma it teaches team building and how to work well with others. Along with the cert class we have a hands on learning prosses all cadets go through and a fun hands on final activity to finish off our C.E.R.T. learning block.

Every year we present 6 after school teams including; Color guard, raiders, orienteering, marksmanship, archery, and JLAB. Each team has a different time that they are presented. The teams create a different opportunity for cadets to create memories friends and bonds with our battalion.
The in class learning experiences if often forgotten how ever is one of the most prominent experiences in the JROTC program. Our classroom learning is both hands on and desk learning. We learn through stories and real life events with give and take rom every cadets participation making the experience fun and worth every moment of time spent in the classroom.
