THE CHAIN OF COMMAND
The Importance of the Chain of Command
"A chain of command is an official hierarchy of authority that dictates who is in charge of whom and of whom permission must be asked." The chain of command holds a significant place, both within the battalion and in the general direction of all bodies of authority, namely as seen with the United States Army; it allows leadership to delegate tasks to several positions of authority and effectively direct and accomplish everything at hand.
