Drill

Drill has several portions in which cadets may participate and compete, including regulation drill, inspection arms, color guard, and exhibition drill. Among these different categories as well, particularly exhibition, cadets may team up in different fashions and develop routines as they see fit with what they have learned.

Drill Team is a rather open ended team in which cadets develop their rifle-spinning skills throughout varying degrees of difficulty and partnership. During the drill season cadets work together to refine different maneuvers and learn new ones that may then be taken and employed in coordinated and crisp team performances.

Saber

Saber team is a slightly different team from drill team, in that instead of spinning and performing maneuvers with rifles, cadets use sabers in their routines. The same principles of accumulating a base set of skills with the saber and then practicing and perfecting increasingly difficult moves remains, followed by the routines identified in inspection, regulation, and exhibition. In addition to this, saber guards may be performed as an alternative to traditional color guards.
