The Raider team consists of nine cadets that will work together to accomplish a number of different challenges. The cadets will learn to tie knots, rig harnesses, and construct a rope bridge. The cadets will conduct physical fitness training during training to include traveling with a 20 pound backpack.

The Golden Spike challenge is held at Weber State University and hosted by the Senior ROTC cadets. Cadets will have to complete a number of events to include the following:

• Tie six different knots

• Construct a rope bridge

• 5 kilometer run with a 20 pound backpack

• Push-up and Sit-up challenge

• Plus an unknown number of mystery events

Raider team run from the beginning of school until the beginning of November.
