Woodworking

Woodworking at SDCI is a specialized course that students can take if they have a passion for working and building with wood specifically. We offer two courses for woodworking TWJ 3E, which is the grade 11 class, and TWJ 4E which is the grade 12 class.

These courses enable students to develop knowledge and skills related to cabinet making and furniture making. Students will learn how to create and interpret technical drawings and will plan, design, and fabricate projects. Students will gain practical experience using a variety of materials, tools, equipment, and techniques associated with custom woodworking. Students will learn about the entrepreneurial skills needed to establish and operate a custom woodworking business.
