Community Engagement

· United Arab Emirates has a population of 2.18 million women ages 15 years and older who are at risk of developing cervical cancer. 

· Coordinated efforts by healthcare providers and the community are needed to increase awareness and support the availability of diagnostic tools and treatment. 

·  4As part of the healthcare team, pharmacists are responsible for increasing the accessibility of key information about cervical cancer to the general public. 

• Students can improve communication skills by interacting with the community members

• Students can help promote the health of the community

• Students can improve their teamwork skills and foster inter-professional collaboration by engaging with their peers from different colleges under GMU.
