Community Engagement

· According to a study in 2020 a prevalence rates of smoking in UAE were estimated to range from 23.4% – 24.7% in men and 0.8% in women

· Coordinated efforts by healthcare providers and the community are needed to increase awareness and support the availability of treatment. 

·  As part of the healthcare team, pharmacists are responsible for increasing the accessibility of key information to the general public. 

• Students can improve communication skills by interacting with the community members

• Students can help promote the health of the community

• Students can improve their teamwork skills and foster inter-professional collaboration by engaging with their peers from different colleges under GMU.
