Community Engagement

·   Diabetes is a a chronic condition that is common in the UAE

·  Coordinated efforts by healthcare providers and the community is needed to delay diabetes in patients at risk and to curb diabetes progression

·  As part of the healthcare team, pharmacists are responsible to provide diabetes education to the community

• Students can improve communication skills by interacting with community members.

• Students can promote the health of the community.

• The activity can raise awareness of the important of Basic Life Support (BLS) and the steps of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
