At Global Jaya School, the year-level assembly is more than just a gathering—it is a cornerstone of our school culture. Facilitated by the Heads of Year and advisory teachers, and thoughtfully organised by students, the assembly offers a valuable space for building community within each grade level while highlighting the talents and growth of our learners.

The primary purpose of the year-level assembly is to celebrate student achievements, skills, and insights developed throughout the academic year. These may come from classroom learning, extracurricular activities, or even personal pursuits beyond school. Each assembly serves as a stage to recognise the diverse ways in which our students learn, grow, and contribute to the community.

As an IB World School, our assemblies are shaped by the principles of international-mindedness, our school’s mission and vision, and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. Together, these guide us in creating an inclusive and meaningful experience that reflects the spirit of lifelong learning.

The first assembly of the year was led by Year 12, focusing on the Learner Profile attribute Principled, on Tuesday, 23 September. This event was especially meaningful as it marked the cohort’s final assembly performance. The session was filled with energy and creativity, featuring games, acting, singing, and dancing that kept the audience engaged from start to finish.
