Year 4 Explores Technology with Guest Speaker

Year 4 students had the privilege of hosting Pak Ephraim Gunawan, father of Ben from class 4A, as a guest speaker. With his professional expertise in the field of Information Technology, Pak Gunawan shared valuable knowledge and experiences, providing students with real-world insights into the role of technology in society.

This session was directly connected to the Unit of Inquiry How We Organize Ourselves, under the central idea: “Evolving technology creates opportunities and challenges for individuals and society.”

During his presentation, Mr. Gunawan emphasized three important aspects: Technology as a tool, The impact of technology, and Being a responsible user of technology

The interactive session allowed students to connect classroom learning with practical perspectives, encouraging them to think critically about the opportunities and challenges brought by technology. The question-and-answer segment further sparked students’ curiosity, while a concluding Kahoot quiz helped assess their understanding.

This experience gave students not only new knowledge but also the chance to reflect on how they use technology responsibly in today’s fast-changing digital world.
