On February 7 and 8, our school hosted an enlightening seminar on puberty and relationships for Year 7 and 10 students, as well as their parents. Titled “Growing Pains and Gains: Puberty Made Easy,” this event was delivered by Good Practice, a leading organization in youth development and well-being.
The student session on February 8 provided valuable insights into the physical, emotional, and social changes that come with puberty. Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, students learned how to navigate this crucial phase with confidence and awareness.
The parent session on February 7 focused on equipping parents with the knowledge and strategies to support their children during puberty. Experts from Good Practice shared effective communication techniques and guidance on fostering open and supportive conversations at home.
Both sessions were well-received, with participants appreciating the informative and interactive approach. The seminar emphasized the importance of understanding puberty and relationships, ensuring that students and parents feel prepared to handle the challenges and opportunities that come with growing up.
We extend our gratitude to Good Practice for their expertise and to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation. We look forward to hosting more educational events that empower our students and their families.
