Last week some of the year 7 students volunteered to be chaperones during the year 6 transition day. They share with us here their experience of the event.
Being a chaperone for one and a half days, to be honest, was exhausting, but I had fun! The students in grade 6 were very contributive, they listened to us and they were very communicative both inside and outside of class. They participated in all activities and were so polite to both us and the teachers around. They also made friends with the older students and attempted to get along with them. Allegra 7C
As the chaperone for the day, I showed the year sixes how where to find their classrooms, where they could eat during lunch, where the bathrooms are and where to find the water refilling stations. I’d say this was a fun experience but very difficult because you could accidentally forget about a student or lose them. The students during class were very cooperative and during group work, they always discussed and did the assignments well. Galya 7B
It was nice collaborating with the year 6, they were nice to me, but a bit loud sometimes. I think if they had more discipline, they would be nice students. I had fun with them and hope I will meet them again in year 8. Maliha 7A and Kalif 7D
Celebration of learning.
