As part of Year 5 Unit 6, I believe Global Jaya School held a very interesting mini-exhibition for its students. I was happy to have been given the opportunity to create, and it was inspiring to see students spend so much time and effort on their projects.
This exhibition was incredible and vibrant because it was well prepared and designed by the students with the help of our supportive teachers. Each piece was made with care and effort without the tiniest hint of carelessness, showing that the students worked hard on their projects. This exhibition helped us learn more than we could have learned from books.
Each student's creation drew the attention and interest of other classes to come and see their work. I believe the exhibition's most important and massive benefit was the excellent opportunity to showcase our talent and creativity to the public. When we had to explain something, we tried to make it as clear as possible for the audience to understand. We must use our own words and we were not allowed to read from anything other than our cue cards. This mini-exhibition was very refreshing for our minds because we used to read off the screen while presenting our work when we were online.
So, what are my thoughts on this mini-exhibition? Yes, it was a lot of work, and yes, we all had to spend a significant amount of time on it. All of the benefits, however, were for the students because after doing a lot of research, reading, finding props, pictures, costumes, and putting together an engaging presentation for the audience, we as students can truly understand and learn about our own historical figures as well as those of our friends. This mini-exhibition was not only educational; it was also entertaining and refreshing for our minds. I would like to express my gratitude to the Year 5 teachers for their unconditional support, as well as the Year 5 students for their hard work. GREAT JOB, YEAR 5!
