Hello Primary Parents,
It is hard to believe we have reached the end of the year. We faced many challenges this year; however, we have learned so much more in turn. We have become more resilient, reflective, and open-minded. It has been so wonderful to end the year face to face. To hear students' voices and laughter in the hallways has been very special. To see our student's smiles (behind the masks) and to have a chat face to face is something we had taken for granted.
I would like to take this opportunity to say my farewell to the GJS community. Thank you for your ongoing support these last two years and your trust in me. I have truly enjoyed my time at GJS and learning more about the school and community. I am sorry we have not been able to meet face to face, but it has been my pleasure to have met your children and served them these last two years. I wish for the GJS community to continue to be safe and healthy. For our primary students to dream big, find their happiness, and always remember to laugh.
Thank you again for this wonderful experience. Goodbye until we meet again!
Ibu Elena
Dear students, teachers, and parents,
After very busy final weeks full of learning engagement, assessment, and reflections, finally, our 2021-2022 school year is wrapped up. Please allow me to take this opportunity to thank everyone; students, teachers, and parents for their endless support, enthusiasm, flexibility, and adaptability in navigating all challenges presented by the changing modes of our teaching and learning process this year. From home-based, blended, online, and finally face-to-face learning, throughout these times, you have proven that nothing can actually stop us from working together as a community to providing the best learning opportunity possible for our students.
To our graduating Year 6 students, I would like to extend my best wishes. Whether you continue your education journey at GJS or elsewhere, I wish you well and look forward to hearing about your future endeavours. Please come back and visit to say hello to your teachers at any time.
To our colleagues who are leaving, I wish you all the very best. Whatever path you will be at, please remember that GJS will always be your home. You all are certainly missed by our community. Last but not least, allow me also to take this opportunity to thank Ibu Elena, who has been working together with us for the past two years and sailing through all the challenges during the Pandemic. Thank you for your hard work, resilience, friendship, and leadership. I wish you great success ahead!
Now, let’s pause to reflect and recharge. Enjoy your long holiday, and please stay safe and healthy.
