Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is designed for students to enjoy exploring their interests, developing new interests, and developing the attributes of the IB Learner Profile in real-world contexts through individual experiences and collaborative projects. When given proper attention and time, CAS is often the highlight of students’ DP journeys. While the requirements of CAS are more difficult to fulfill during the current pandemic, there are still many ways students can grow through this process. Each month, we will highlight the CAS experiences of a selection of GJS students. To end this school year, we would like to show a reflection video from students who were involved in the Global CAS Sustainable Development Goals Project; Lisa, Rawnie, Cheryn, Chery, Dahlia and Chiara from Year 11.
Through this project, they discussed 3 UN SDGs; Gender Equality, Climate Change and Cleaner Planet and made a plan, both locally and globally. Check out their video to see what the project means, how they learned from each other beyond the project, and the similarities they found with other IB students from around the world.
