Film is offered as one the visual arts subject in MYP and a group 6 elective in the diploma program. The goal of the subject is to guide the students to explore the film medium through experimentation and deconstructing the film form.
This semester the students explored and drew inspiration from legendary filmmakers like Emmanuele Lubezky, Pedro Costa, Christopher Nolan, Hoyte Van Hoytema, Kyle Nutt, Wong Kar-Wai, Alejandro González Iñárritu, among others.
A key focus of all film students is visual storytelling, self-expression and exploration of the film medium. The films below are a sample of some of the films made this semester in response to the studied films and filmmakers.
