On November 13, Year 4 had an excellent Assembly. We had many participants performing virtually, and it was entertaining and great! There is a global award for a thinker person. The winners were Viola Ranson from 4A, Gregor Midzak Bennerscheidt from 4B, and Zelvykha Eowyn Zenouvva Chloeta from 4C.
The activities were very entertaining. Animations from Ayla Saaliha El Ferino with animation, a great drawing animation from Kinda. There is also a good singing voice by Olivia, and many more!! The year 4 had a great time doing the assembly!!
In Indonesian lessons, students make posters about caring for natural resources and caring for the surrounding environment. In civic and Pancasila classes, students also learn Pancasila principles' relationship with global issues regarding natural resources and personal action. For example, Rafa made a presentation using google slides explaining Forest Care.

A Clean Environment Is Essential For Healthy Living: The more you don't care about our environment, the more it will become polluted with contaminants and toxins that harm our health. Air pollutants can cause respiratory disease and cancer, among other problems and diseases.
We are as a student can help the environment with a few simple tips. Even doing something small can make a big difference. Here are ways to help the environment:
1. Conserve water and electricity.
-Turn the water off when washing hands or brushing teeth. Turn off unnecessary lights.
2. Plant a tree
-Keep our garden green and chemical-free.
3. Use less plastic.
- Say no to disposable straws & cutlery.
- Bring your own cup/tumbler.
4. Choose reusable over single-use.
5. Sorting organic and non-organic waste.
6. Shop wisely
- Use our non-plastic shopping bag.
- Skip the plastic produce bags
7. Manage 3 R; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
8. Collecting recycled items and then send them to "Bank Sampah," "Tetra Pak Indonesia," "Senyumkan Bumi," or "Watson" for recycling.
Hopefully, with all those ways, we can save our environment. It's just a matter of committing to doing something good for our environment and sticking to that plan. We can call this "our environmental to-do list."
Awareness-raising” is when a person or group brings attention to a concern or issue with the intent of gaining supporters. It is one of the most basic forms of advocacy because the first step in creating change is to let people know that a problem exists and how they can help.
In year 4, students formed interest groups related to their “Sharing The Planet” UOI. The unit is focused on natural resources, both renewable and non-renewable. As a culminating activity, the student groups were challenged to create a multimedia awareness campaign. This website showcases student work. Please take a look at the campaigns and give feedback to the students via the Google Form links on the site as well. To view this site you need to be signed in to a Global Jaya email account. If you are a parent, you can view the site by signing in to your child’s Global Jaya Email account. We look forward to your feedback.

Moustache Article
As part of Movemeber, students were given the opportunity to take part in a moustache design activity. Adrian from Year 4 reflects on his “Raistache” creation process below.
In the beginning of my making my moustache I was struggling a lot, But then as it went on I got more ideas and inspirations, I got my ideas and information from Covid because I wanted to make people happy when they looked at my moustache.
I made my moustache from foam and posca markers. I also made this all by myself. My moustache was named “Raistache” because it was colorful and when I looked at my moustache it reminded me of rainbows. When I was having a bad day of school it made me happy for the rest of the day.
