Year 6 was off to a very busy month in August. First, they have started the PYP Exhibition lessons. PYP Exhibition is the culmination activity in the PYP where Year 6 students inquire and explore topics that they are personally interested in and/or topics that are connected with their passions and interests. Due to the complexity, the PYP Exhibition lessons are run every week, starting this August to December. January is fully allocated for the students to develop their personal inquiry project, which will be showcased in February 2023.
In August Year 6 also had their Primary Assembly Performance. In this assembly, the Year 6 students performed multi-segmented performance with the focus on reviewing the Primary general rules and agreements. Then the following week, Year 6 students actively participated in the first ever Indonesia’s Independence Day Flag Raising ceremony run by the Primary students.
After the ceremony, Year 6 students sang a West Sumatra traditional song called “Kampuang Nan Jauh di Mato” as part of Indonesia’s Independence Day assembly performance.
