Integrated with our Independence Day Assembly performance, students practiced listening skills by following instructions while assembling their Nusa Tenggara Timur region goat headbands. Students practiced a song from this province to showcase the beauty of Indonesia. The reception students also practiced self-management skills by being responsible when using their school stationery properly in the classroom.
To celebrate our Independence Day, Reception students sang Anak Kambing Saya, a song from East Nusa Tenggara, and created the movements with the teachers. They were risk takers when dancing confidently on stage while introducing the beauty of NTT.
We made red and white paper chains as part of our math exploration of patterns. We practiced fine motor skills when gluing the paper together and showed our knowledge of what patterns look like in different ways.
The Reception students joined a coloring competition for our year-level Independence Day Celebration. The winners were Kami from Reception B and Ethan from Reception A. We practiced being proud and playing fair when accepting the competition results.
