Happy New (School) Year!

Greetings GJS parents..we hope you have had a wonderful holiday and a relaxing break with your kids.

Going back to school and still in pandemic, parents and the school have to work together in making our children schooling life as stable as possible.

Maintaining healthy environment at school always starts from each homes. Cleanliness and disciplines of sanitizing still needs to be applied and I believe it has become a habit for many of us now and most importantly, keeping in check with our children's health.

Please do keep reminding ourselves that if our kids have flu,cough and dry/sore

throat, get it checked right away to avoid virus spreading at school. All parents must want the kids to keep schooling, no more quarrantine and missing classes.

Unfortunately, there are still year level closure and contact tracing, and no hybrid learning, because of government's regulation, GJS is still providing solution to this issue by opening Office Hour, so students in quarrantine can meet their teachers online and access all studying materials in managebac, and yes, when your child is in quarrantine, they will get extension for their assignments.

Independent learning is very well encouraged still with school's assistant. Student's well being is always the top priority at GJS. This is what helps our children overcome the challenges of

learning especially during pandemic, is through GJS' program of Social Emotional Learning and Well-Being Thermometer.

This year and next, PTA will be having a series of IG Live sessions starts September 2022 and next year starting January 2023, we will have new exciting offline/online events, such as Global Creative Exchange, Global Fun Fest and we are also creating a new platform for secondary students called "PTA JOB BOARD".

PTA JOB BOARD, is an online platform for secondary students to find summer internships, so we are inviting parents and wider community to take part in this by registering your company and opens internship program. PTA JOB BOARD will be launched in March - May 2023.

So, lets collaborate and take part in supporting our children by providing opportunities!
