Hosted by the Canadian International School | April 2025
On April 12, 2025, our U15 basketball team had the incredible opportunity to represent Global Jaya School at an exciting international basketball competition hosted by the Canadian International School in Singapore. It was a fantastic experience filled with intense games, new friendships, and unforgettable memories!
The tournament brought together top teams from leading international schools, including:
Canadian International School (Host)
Stamford American International School
International Community School
Global Jaya School
Our students showed amazing spirit and teamwork throughout the tournament. After a series of competitive matches in the qualification round, Global Jaya finished as the runner-up, securing a place in the semi-final. Although we didn’t make it to the final, the team gave it their all in a hard-fought game, demonstrating true sportsmanship and resilience.
As a coach, I couldn’t be prouder of their performance and attitude both on and off the court. Beyond the competition, this trip was also about learning, bonding, and proudly representing our school on an international stage.
Congratulations to our team for an impressive run, and thank you to all who supported us on this journey!

On Thursday, April 24th, our U15 soccer teams (boys and girls) played friendly matches against Sekolah Tara Salvia Bintaro. Facing a very competitive club, both of our boys' teams secured impressive wins, while our girls' team finished with one win and one draw. It was a fantastic way for the girls to wrap up their season, showcasing their progress and ending on a high and competitive note.
For the boys, these matches served as crucial preparation for their Final Four tournament, which took place on Saturday, April 26th at Global Jaya School. In the semifinals, our U15 boys faced Australian Independent School—a team that had beaten us during the regular season. This time, however, our players delivered a focused and disciplined performance on both offense and defense, securing a strong 3-0 victory and booking their place in the final.
In the championship match, the boys faced the undefeated British School Jakarta. In a tightly contested game, our team was close to turning the tide. A key moment came when a spectacular shot was miraculously saved by their goalkeeper just before crossing the goal line. Had that goal counted, it would have brought us back into the game at 3-2. Despite the 3-1 final score, our players should be incredibly proud of their efforts. They finished as runners-up, closing a season marked by continuous growth, resilience, and outstanding performances.
Well done!
Looking ahead, this Friday, May 2nd, some of our varsity badminton players (boys and girls) will compete at Jakarta Intercultural School. If you see any of them around campus, be sure to wish them luck!
Go Hawks!
