Student Liaison Committee (SLC)

What is the SLC?

The Student Liaison Committee (SLC) is a committee that liaises between the university administration and the students. The SLC is a space where the concerns of the students are put before the concerned people. Traditionally the President of the SGA represents and leads the SGA team in the meeting. The other key players include, the Registrar, Office of Finance, Office of IT, Office of Student Affairs, OAS, Admissions, Deans Office, Facilities Management etc. 

The SLC meets bi-weekly to discuss various issues.

On the first SLC meeting of the 16th SGA, it was decided unanimously that the SLC should come under the purview of the SGA.

As such, the SGA President assumed the role of the Chair of SLC and the SGA PRO became the Deputy Chair of SLC.

According to the fourth amendment of the constitution, the Chief of Staff shall presume chairing of SLC.
