Hoyas Forever

'Hoyas forever' is an initiative that is organized by the SGA in association with the Campus Ministry in the main campus and the Office of Student Life. This initiative involves all GUQ students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the GU campus ministry.

SGA Townhalls

The SGA Town halls are highly coveted gatherings, providing an opportunity for the student community to directly interact and engage with the faculty and administration concerning various issues that impact their lives at GU-Q. All GU-Q students may attend the Town hall, where the SGA serves as panelists noting down all student concerns and carrying it on to the respective departments.

Pardon The Interruption!

Pardon the Interruption or PTI is basically a debate/conversation which occurs surrounding a specific topic. Examples could be issues such as climate change. There are two sides to the debate and if anyone was to chime in, they tap on the speaker's shoulder and they get replaced by the other person. PTI was initially organized by the Dean's office. In 2019, PTI came under the purview of the SGA.

SGA Office Hours

The SGA Office Hours gives a chance for all members of the community to propose suggestions, ask questions and even raise complaints to the SGA about any issues they might have. This time could also be used to simply drop by the office and have a friendly talk with the SGA Executive board!

Georgetown Day Celebrations

Georgetown Day is that one day of the year when all members of Georgetown community come together to celebrate their Hoya Spirit. The SGA has been organizing the Georgetown Day celebrations in collaboration with Student Life since 2021

Karak & Conversation

Karak & Conversation is a bi-weekly event hosted by the SGA inside of the SGA office. It is made in an effort to tighten our community bond, and bridge any gaps between the SGA and the rest of the student body. It has no formal structure as it is meant just for having some traditional Karak drinks and having fun conversations with you!
