QR codes can be a handy tool to support you in your teaching as they can provide a quick link to many different online sources: videos, articles, web pages, galleries, read-aloud recordings and more. They are fairly quick to create and just require that you have a camera and the right way to scan them (apps are available on androids and apple devices, through a website for laptops, and in the Chrome Web Store for chrome books ). As well, QR codes will often require that you have Internet access in order to open the link.
Here is a 5 minute video (my first instructional video - I have lots of room for improvement) showing how to create and use QR codes. I like to use https://www.qrstuff.com/ to generate my QR codes. It is free but there is a pop-up to purchase a subscription which I haven't ever done.

Here are some great resources online for QR code use in the classroom.
