Coding with Computers

Code BC has a directory of fantastic resources that are available in French and English to support coding in a variety of facets.

Studio.code.org is a site where teachers can allow students to explore through grade-appropriate challenges and lessons to build their coding skills.

Code Monkey is a site where teachers can set up a teacher account to track up to 30 students as they progress through 30 levels of coding challenges. There is the option to purchase and then students can create their own challenges to share.

Made With Code has all kinds of great projects for students to try and get engaged in. These projects allow students to showcase their creativity.

Scratch Coding challenges for students arranged in order of difficulty. The wonderful thing about Scratch is that it allows students to plan a demonstration of their understanding of coding, instead of simply complete a challenge. This has exciting links in language arts, arts and music, mathematics, ADST and more. Students can show their learning and understanding in all areas, through Scratch.
