HAFA ADAI,  Amazing Advanced Band Hawks!   

Can you believe it?  Today marks the "official" end of School Year 2020 - 2021!  This has been the most challenging school year, ever!  I applaud you for sticking it out, for your resiliency, dedication, hard work, and for not giving up!  I am so proud of all of you!  You have etched a special spot in my heart!  

Way back, when you were all in beginning band, I had such great dreams for this school year's band.  As beginning band students, you were phenomenal!  Covid-19 changed everything!   Still, together...    "ONE BAND, ONE SOUND, ONE TEAM, ONE FAMILY" ...we did everything in our power to make music (noise???  LOL) together.  

8TH GRADERS:  Best of luck as you progress on to high school.  New and exciting times are waiting for you!  I shall greatly miss you, but you know you can always find me behind the double blue doors of our beloved band room!  

7TH GRADERS:  I am excited for another year to work with you!  I hope it will be a much, much better year for all of us so that we can actually perform!  You came such a long way this year, and I am so glad you will be with me for another year!

A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO MY FRIDAY AFTERNOON BAND REHEARSAL STUDENTS:  Those Friday practices were the highlight of my entire week!  Even though our group was so small, I felt that we were close.  I was truly in my element whenever we rehearsed together.  You put a smile on my face and filled my heart with immense happiness!  From the bottom of my heart, a million thanks for being brave, for coming back to school, for allowing the music to flow within the double blue doors of our band room once again!  I will miss you all so much!

Even though the school year is over, you still need to return your instruments.   You may return them:

TUESDAY, MAY 25TH FROM 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM   (I will be in the band room; come on in!)

WEDNESDAY, MAY 26TH FROM 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM   (I will be in the band room; come on in!)

                                                ~OR ~ 

*INSTRUMENTS MAY ALSO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE MAIN OFFICE DURING THE SCHOOL DAY (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).  If you do this, make sure your name is taped on the instrument.  The office staff will alert me, and I will go down and get it.  YES, the school office is open during the summer.
