Rationale
Who: The clients of this product are the House coordinators of Lauremont School. The product will be designed specifically for the viewing of Lauremont's Middle school students, whom should feel a sense of unity and spirit from the product's message.
What: The problem is that the Middle school as it is currently lacks the representation of the core House system of Lauremont school.
Why: As we transition from TMS to Lauremont this coming year, it is essential that the student body remain a team, which can be ensured by providing emphasis on the 4 houses in places where such representation is not currently present.
Where: TMS School (transitioning into Lauremont School).
When: By the end (June) of this year, as the products will be displayed in the Middle school by around the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
How: Through Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, I will be creating prototypes of potential murals (one of which will be representing House Phoebe (the House I am a member of) as well as one representing all 4 houses) that will be displayed on empty walls in the Middle school hallways.

Analysis of Existing Products
Design Brief
As it transitions to Lauremont School, TMS needs a new set of banners for each of the 4 Houses to install in the Middle School, which currently lacks effective representation of the esteemed House system. To combat this, I will be creating a House Banner Visual for House Phoebe in the Middle School and a Unified House Decal to bring the houses together in one image. From my primary research, it is evident that I should incorporate elements that are specific to House Phoebe (eg: shades of purple, the Moon) while also creating visual harmony with pre-existing Upper School Banner in terms of design style. From my product analysis, the strategies that I will use to create my design include using similar techniques in the individual banner and the unified banner as this provides visual consistency; Overlap of different elements of similar colour scheme, which helps create depth (this was used in the Phoebe Upper School banner, which is especially significant because I will be mimicking this design style); Evenly distributing the representation of different House colours to promote unity (especially significant for my Unified House Decal). Therefore, using these techniques, I will be able to emulate the style of the Upper School banners while also incorporating my own, unique design style.
