Justification for Changes Made
For the arms of the chair, I scored the rectangular piece of the net for the arms to provide a more cylindrical, round shape out of cardboard. This differs from my original design, where I did not plan to use this cutting technique. In my original design, the back of the chair was asymmetrical simulating a puzzle piece (use of differently-sized dips in the piece); However, in my final design, I used a more symmetrical figure with the same-size dips in the piece to create a more clean, sharp design. In my original design, I had an inward curve on the back of the chair to better fit the comfort needs of the children, whereas in my final model, I used an inward curve on the seat to ensure I developed an ergonomic seating solution seeing as the back of the chair would also have been more difficult and less sharp had I used an inward curve on said piece.Â
