Monday: Ted Talk - Brene Brown, "The Power of Vulnerability" and post-reading assignment.
Tuesday: Discuss yesterday's Ted Talk. Notes on phone skills, and go over the rest of the week's assignments.
Wednesday: No Class - early dismissal for State Wrestling.
Thursday - Friday: Mrs. Pulju is gone for the Regional Knowledge Bowl competitions, so you have an email assignment (handout) and phone calls to practice with.
Week Five: Feb. 16th - 20th *Midterms posted 2/18 at 8 am
Tuesday: Responding with Maturity. Practice.
Wednesday: Unit 2 notes, soft skills.
Thursday - Friday: Unit 2 practice activities - phone call, answer, email inquiry, and practice.
Week Four: Feb. 9th - 13th
Monday: Negotiating a compromise. Ephamtic Responses and Conflict Resolution handout.
Tuesday: Mindful Communication handout. Responding with the Maturity handout and the You/I statement. End of unit reflection - due today.
Wednesday: No Class - Career Week activities/field trips.
Thursday: Career Day speakers - no class/early dismissal. Friday: No School

Monday: Communication Anticipation Guide (2 pages). Communication Self-Assessment handout. Navigating Communication (My Journeys)
Tuesday: Breakthrough Communication Barriers activity. Navigating Social scenarios - handout and practice. Discussion on our findings.
Wednesday: Reframing responses assignment.
Thursday: Text messaging practice. Communication practice and worksheets - How would you respond? Filtering your thoughts and Effective Communication for Achieving goals.
Friday: Emphatic Communication - empathy practice and improving dialogue.
Week Two: Jan. 26th - 30th
Monday: Review E-learning assignment on connotation and denotation. Review and share examples. Quiz on the communication process.
Tuesday: Start Ted Talk about communication and complete the handout.
Wednesday: Classmate "get to know you" activity and reflection.
Thursday - Friday: Lesson on Basic Communication skills - notes and activities.
