Tuesday: Giving our Speech of Introduction.

Week Nine: March 16th - 20th *End of 3rd quarter
Monday: Sharing our speech/prepared presentation on our "like" from the communication.
Tuesday: Finishing packet.
Wednesday: Ted Talk - 5 Ways to be a Better Listener. Complete the worksheet.
Thursday - Friday: Creating a Do and Don't flyer/handout using Canva.
Week Eight: March 9th - 13th
Monday: Watching Ted Talk - "The Death of the Conversation". Watching and completing an assignment.
Tuesday - Thursday: Communication workbook activities.
Week Seven: March 2nd - 6th
Monday: Notes on phone communication. Video and scenarios.
Tuesday: Script practice with a peer, record and evaluate - give feedback.
Wednesday: Calling and leaving a message #1 and #2.
Thursday and Friday: Answering phones, communication strategies for customer service, and for complaints.
Week Six: Feb 23rd - 27th
Monday: Ted Talk - Brene Brown, "The Power of Vulnerability" and post-reading assignment.
Tuesday: Discuss yesterday's Ted Talk. Notes on phone skills, and go over the rest of the week's assignments.
Wednesday: No Class - early dismissal for State Wrestling.
Thursday - Friday: Mrs. Pulju is gone for the Regional Knowledge Bowl competitions, so you have an email assignment (handout) and phone calls to practice with.
Week Five: Feb. 16th - 20th *Midterms posted 2/18 at 8 am
Tuesday: Responding with Maturity. Practice.
Wednesday: Unit 2 notes, soft skills.
Thursday - Friday: Unit 2 practice activities - phone call, answer, email inquiry, and practice.

Monday: Negotiating a compromise. Ephamtic Responses and Conflict Resolution handout.
Tuesday: Mindful Communication handout. Responding with the Maturity handout and the You/I statement. End of unit reflection - due today.
Wednesday: No Class - Career Week activities/field trips.

Tuesday: Start Ted Talk about communication and complete the handout.
Wednesday: Classmate "get to know you" activity and reflection.

Week One: Jan. 19th - 23rd
Tuesday: Class syllabus. Google Classroom sign up. Go over class expectations and take an initial survey on communication styles.
