Monday: Valediction: A Forbidden Mourning. Read, discuss and complete assignment.
Tuesday: Go over p. 325 and vocabulary on 326. Read “Speech Before the Spanish Armada Invasion” p. 327 and go over the Check for Understanding together. Handout to complete.
Wednesday: Reading “For Army Infantry’s First Women, Heavy Packs and the Weight of History” p. 337 and and go over the Check for Understanding as a group. Post reading handout.
Thursday: Collaborate and compare handout - small groups.

Tuesday: Presentation/lecture - essential question: "What do we do when a society unravels?" War of the Roses/history and vocabulary. "The Paston Letters" Get Ready: vocabulary, primary documents. Understand genre elements - diaries. Read "My Syrian Diary".
Wednesday: Post-reading handout - collaborate and compare letters and diary.
