Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) in Alaska
ACE's are defined as stressful or traumatic experiences, including abuse, neglect, witnessing domestic violence, or growing up with substance abuse, mental illness, or a parent/guardian in jail.
Research has shown that childhood trauma and exposure to ACE's can lead to health issues that carry into adulthood. But, people can recover!
