College & Career Tests
The ACT contains multiple-choice tests in four areas: English, mathematics, reading and science.
The SAT takes three hours and consists of three tests: reading, writing, & math.
PSAT/NMSQT

Advanced Placement (AP) courses give students the chance to tackle college-level work while they're still in high school.
Upon completion of AP courses students will have the option of taking the AP exam in May. Students who score high enough will have the ability of these courses being counted for college credit. Each post-secondary school has different score expectations so make sure you are connecting with potential colleges to see if your scores count.
Tests of Adult Basic Education
The TABE is used for acceptance to Alaska Vocational and Technical Center (AVTEC) in Seward.
Testing is available for free at the Kenai Job Center.

Students interested in qualifying for the Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) who are planning on earning a certificate can take the WorkKeys to qualify for funding.

The ASVAB stands for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and is a resource for students to discover skills and interests they connect with. The ASVAB is also used for entrance into the military.
The Accuplacer is used to measure student placement for college level English.
Testing is available through KPC.
The ALEKS test is used for math placement for college level math courses.
